2. Mr Peter BROWN was born before 14 Jul 1734. [[[Birth note: Name from Baptism record of his son George in 1788][Christened 14 July 1734][Buried 1801 aged 66]]] He was baptized on 14 Jul 1734 in Escomb.2 [Baptism note: we found a Burial in Escomb in 1801 and it stated he was 66 years. We then looked at Baptism registers (IGI SCN 0090784 PR has chr. data and father as Peter)] Before 1801 he was a Farmer. [Occupation note: from Burial register] He died on 21 Apr 1801.3,4 [Death note: on Burial record] He was buried on 24 Apr 1801 in Escomb.5 [[Burial note: from a Burial Register: aged 66, Farmer of Shildon][late of Woodside on Gravestone (and 2 sons). Mr Peter BROWN and Miss Mary CULLEY were married on 8 Oct 1761 in Escomb.6,7 [[Marriage note: (we have a note taken in Record Office but did not note source!! - Both of this Parish by Licence - A Smith, Curate, Witnesses: William Wascot and Robert Spark (witness at several marriages)(also on IGI SCN 0090784 Prt)][Later we received a copy of Will of George Culley who was the previous occupant of Spennymoor House before George Brown. In it George Culley states that his sister Mary was married to Peter Brown and he gave a list of their children which included George Brown]] [Family note for Peter Brown (h of Mary Culley. Christening etc. of children from copies of Parish records] Miss Mary CULLEY (daughter of Mr Thomas CULLEY TBC and Miss Mary MOSES TBC) was born before 11 Sep 1743. [Birth note: Will of George Culley her Brother who mentions a sister Mary who married a Peter Brown] She was christened on 11 Sep 1743 in Auckland St Andrew, Durham.8 [Christening note: IGI (if correct person) has father Thomas] [General note: We assume this is sister of George Culley who wrote a will 1794 and died 1797. Also had a sister Margaret who married John Pattison. GC mentions brothers in law] Mr Peter BROWN and Miss Mary CULLEY had the following children:
